The Pivot Functional Resume Template is structured in a quasi-functional format that makes it especially well suited for a career changer or anyone who wants to call out older information that is still relevant on the first page. It is also a great choice for professionals and executives with lots of accomplishments to showcase.
A resume created in a functional format is not right for everyone. In most cases, job hunters should look for a chronologically focused resume format as these are preferred by most recruiters and employers. However, if you are making a career change, have gaps in your work history, or want to focus on experience and accomplishments that happened early in your career, a functional resume template such as found in this Pivot collection may be a good choice for you.
Available as a separate purchase, the Pivot biography and cover letter templates are designed to coordinate with our Pivot Resume template.
As with all our template collections, MS Word is required and the resume template is designed to be ATS-friendly. However, do keep in mind that while the design of this functional resume template is ATS-friendly, some (not all) ATS systems will have trouble with the functional format. Unfortunately, there is no way around this limitation.
