The Pivot Functional Resume Template is structured in a quasi-functional format that makes it especially well suited for a career changer or anyone who wants to call out older information that is still relevant on the first page. It is also a great choice for professionals and executives with lots of accomplishments to showcase.
A resume created in a functional format is not right for everyone. In most cases, job hunters should look for a chronologically focused resume format as these are preferred by most recruiters and employers.
However, if you are making a career change, have gaps in your work history, or want to focus on experience and accomplishments that happened early in your career, a functional resume template such as found in this Pivot collection may be a good choice for you.
Available as a separate purchase, the Pivot biography and cover letter templates are designed to coordinate with our Pivot Resume template. See all templates in the collection:
As with all our template collections, MS Word is required and the resume template is designed to be ATS-friendly. However, do keep in mind that while the design of this functional resume template is ATS-friendly, some (not all) ATS systems will have trouble with the functional format. Unfortunately, there is no way around this limitation.
